Since July has had a very warm start this year, it might be nice to remember some of the cold temperatures that have been recorded in past during July. On July 10th, 1905 Dodge City’s low of 46 degrees set the record low for the month of July. That low temperature was matched again at Dodge City on July 13th, 1990. However, if you really want to talk cold for July, you need to head east. Humboldt, in Allen County holds the record for all currently active stations. On July 26, 2004 the temperature at Humboldt dropped to 35 degrees Fahrenheit. Now that is COLD.
