As finals end, students look forward to summer break. But when does summer really begin. The answer you get will vary according to whom you ask. To most students, summer begins when classes end. To many, the beginning of summer starts with the Memorial weekend – generally the first holiday of the year with fairly reliable warm weather. From a climatology standpoint, summer in the northern hemisphere covers June, July and August. With the cool weather we’ve experienced recently, most are simply looking forward to the warm temperatures that normally occur at this time of the year.
